~ Dickens of a Christmas ~
~
Opening December 5, 2003
~ Main Theatre
Salt City Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to present
the 10th annual production of A Dickens of A Christmas. This original
musical, written by Pat Lotito and Ken Prescott, gets better every year!
Once again, Robert Steingraber does double-duty, directing the production
as well as being featured as the “Ghost of Christmas Present.”
It's worth the price of admission just to see his latest costume creation!
This year, Bob Brown stars as Scrooge. Bob is well known to local audiences,
most notably for playing the lead in Jesus Christ Superstar numerous times.
He has also toured nationally in Funny Girl. He is supported by a great
cast, including Sarah Harrington as Belle, John Keating as Bob Cratchitt
and Mary Kate Migdal as Mrs. Scrooge.
Erin Adams, David Cotter, Brandon Lipsett, Jessica Skipper, Jen Fricano,
Colin Keating, and Elizabeth Morrison are among the wassailers and Todd
Garfield doubles as the “Ghost of Christmas Past” and a wassailer.
Shannon Thompkins will make two guest appearances as "Past"
on December 12th and 13th. She played the ghost several years ago.
This play is a holiday must-see. The costuming is wonderful and the music
fun and enjoyable. The sets are great too, with a rotating stage and fabulous
set decoration. Every year, more detail is added and, after ten years,
this production is polished and professional.
