ANNOUNCES
ITS 2005 - 2006 SEASON
Joseph N. Lotito,
Executive Director, is proud to announce Salt City Center for the Performing
Arts' 2005-06 Season. Tickets information can be found under the tickets
button on the left.
According to Joseph N. Lotito, Executive Director, the 2005-2006 season of Salt City Center for the Performing Arts will begin on November 11 with Bill Does Will: an Evening of Shakespeare, a one man show, starring Bill Molesky in a collaborative creative effort with Neil Novelli , the area's acknowledged expert on Shakespeare, and design consultants Karel Blakeley and Shirley Blakeley. When Molsesky asked Novelli for a solo Shakespearean vehicle replete with men, women, dogs, and ships at sea, Novelli provided the concept: a collection of intimate monologues between the character and the audience. The monologues are Shakespeare's. The connecting commentaries are Novelli's .
The show opens with successive recitations of Hamlet's To Be Or Not To Be – one with the “fourth wall” apparent, the other aimed solely at the audience, demonstrating the power of a character's direct appeal to those hearts in the dark.
Some of the evening's characters include Shakespeare's Villains: Richard III, Lear's bastard, Edmund, and Claudius (as song and dance man); Shakespeare's Clowns: Verona's Launce with his dog, Crab; and of course, John Falstaff: and, in themed groupings, a host of others: Lady MacBeth , Juliet's nurse, Richard II, Much Ado's Benedick , Polonius, Malvolio …and a clown has the last word with Feste's closing of Twelfth Night .

Lotito, will be performed at Jazz Central at 441 Washington Street on November 11, 12 and 13 and November 18, 19 and 20, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:15 pm and Sunday shows are at 2:00 pm . MARRIAGE IS MURDER by Nick Hall opening May 5
"Paul & Polly Butler used to be a husband and wife murder-mystery writing
team. Their novel way of testing the realism of the murders in their novels
was to try out the murder methods on each other - poisoned chocolates,
lethal martinis, alibis, fingerprints, bodies in trunks, and bodies all tied
up, daggers, guns, and even an axe.
After 18 months of divorce, Paul reluctantly agrees to get back together
with Polly to write one more book. Now that they are divorced, how real
will the murder methods be?
This comedy thriller features the real life husband and wife team of Nora
O'Dea & Dan Stevens."
